This Is Norwalk, Ohio (How We Live, Work, Play and Create)
LIVE/WORK IN NORWALK, OHIO
Events like Night Under Fire, Norwalk's Free Summer Concert Series, Blue Suede Cruise, Imagine Norwalk, Family First Night and Norwalk United give residents several outlets for live music, art, entertainment, food and the truest sense of community. We're fortunate to have multiple parks (including the scenic Veterans Memorial Lake Park) and a first class Recreation & Aquatic Center. Norwalk is home to century-old bed & breakfasts, Ohio's oldest museum; dance, ballet and yoga studios; art and music studios; the world renowned Summit Motorsports Park and much more. We're just a 20 minute drive from the nation's top amusement park, Cedar Point, and the shores of Lake Erie. Snow Trails Ski Lodge and authentic Amish communities are less than an hour from Norwalk.
As Mayor Rob Duncan put it "Norwalk is a community of rich heritage and traditions coupled with forward thinking. Small enough to care about each other as neighbors and friends, we are large enough to offer a diversity of services, opportunities and life styles".
12 Benedict Ave. Norwalk, OH 44857
Norwalk's first non-profit organizations were founded here in the early 1800's. This rich history of community involvement has created a neighborly culture that exists even today. Over the past 200 years, our city's community organizations have grown to include: the Norwalk Area United Fund, Huron County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau, Norwalk Jaycees, Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, VFW, Eagles, American Legion, Elks the Ministerial Association, Huron County Senior Enrichment Services and more.
