HURON COUNTY BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL
Business partners with education.
Ohio law (Ohio Revised Code 3313.82 and 3313.821) requires every school district and educational service center to have a business advisory council. To help build relationships between businesses and schools, the Ohio Department of Education and Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation have developed standards for the operation of business advisory councils
The Huron County Business Advisory Council (BAC) was established in 2018 as a means for business leaders and K-12 educational leaders to partner together to understand and support employment needs within Huron County. In addition, the BAC has a goal to engage our youth in better understanding the career opportunities available in their community. Members of the BAC consist of representatives from education (superintendents and principals), business leaders for Huron County’s leading industry sectors and local community partners.
