ROADS
The City of Norwalk is perched between Cleveland and Toledo and 4 miles South of the Ohio Turnpike (80/90). Norwalk is well served by not only the nearby Ohio Turnpike, but also US 250, US 20, SR 18, SR 61 and SR 13, all of which are within the city limits. When adding in the remaining street network there are about 75 additional miles of very well-maintained roadway in the City.

RAIL
Norwalk is served by Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad. Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway lines bisect the City as they traverse the City limits in an East/West fashion.

TRUCKING
Former home to Norwalk Truck Line Co., one of the first trucking companies in the country, in 1923. The Truck Line became the largest independently-owned trucking company in the world. The company served as inspiration for Norwalk High School’s mascot, the Truckers. The City still boasts many truck-friendly infrastructure features, like generous turning radii and pavement designs. 14 companies franchised to serve Norwalk area, 3 terminals in Norwalk.

AIR
Locally, the Huron County airport serves as a general aviation facility which is open to the public. This facility is located 3 miles East of the City limits.

WATERWAYS
Lake Erie Ports – 11 miles north.

FUEL
Norwalk serves as a local agricultural cooperative on the East side for Sunrise Cooperative, Inc. Norwalk is also home to a Sunrise Energy department office.
